The most vivid amount of growth usually comes after moments where we really hit the ground. I’m talking about moments that can affect our self esteem like a break up, a blotched interview, a failure to meet others or our own expectations. Our self worth takes a hit. Since Sensitives, Empaths, Healers, Introverts and HSPs feel everything, it’s easy to fall into sadness and “why me” in times of stress because our own internal defenses have been shaken. For example, if I prepare for a meeting and then no one buys into what I’ve tried to say or sell, I can go down a really scary path at blaming myself for the bad outcome. These moments that hit our self esteem have a power to make us or break us. I have a choice. I can allow my mind to be filled with negative self talk and blame the person I was meeting with for making my life harder, or blame my day or blame myself for not being prepared OR I can shift my perspective on the matter to something useful and positive.
What really helps is when energy alchemists make the conscious energetic shift from victim to warrior. In times of pain, don’t cry “why me.” Search for the better version of yourself – the divine version of you that is strong, intuitive and savvy; the you that can pull you out of any mess and remind you of your true confident nature. You came here to learn and the greatest amount of growth happens when we fail. It happens when we’re challenged. Accept the ups and downs of life and meet adversity with a healthy curiosity of discovering the lesson rather than getting muddles self misery.
Pull yourself out of the road to victimhood by:
Forgiving yourself for past mistakes. We’re only human and we all make mistakes in life. I’ll tell you a secret, none of us know what we’re doing. We just do our best and if we fall, we get back up.
Accepting your flaws and imperfections. “They” might not like you and rather than being sad about it CELEBRATE IT. Do you want people in your life who don’t accept your weirdness and coolness? People that are hard to be around? I don’t. It sounds miserable to actually have to work at friendship.
When I meet someone who doesn’t fit with me, I’m happy for it. By accepting ALL OF YOU and showing up you’re attracting your people and repelling those who don’t flow with you. I like to think of it as a natural energy test. My energy is mine and I’m gong to be me, if you don’t like it, it’s OK. Others will pass my test and we’ll be BFFs. It’s actually quite practical. Take control. Be perfectly imperfect and find those out there that will love you for all of it.
Knowing that being alone is ok. As Sensitives, Empaths, HSPs, introverts and healers we definitely need alone time. There’s a difference between being alone and feeling lonely. If you feel lonely, do some deep digging and use that innate intuitive power you’ve got to cast self awareness and healing over yourself. Do this in a sacred space on your own time through meditation and writing. It’s OK to set time aside for yourself. Respect the time and space you need. Do you think warriors can fight and be baddass 24/7? No. We need down time. So do you, dear goddess.
Having faith. Believe that at some point, these hard times will bring about amazing lessons and you will feel complete again. It just takes time. Don’t lose hope. Something better is waiting for you.
